Fun Facts

Stannite is sometimes called "bell metal ore" because it contains both copper and tin, key ingredients in bronze (used in bells). Although it's a minor tin ore, its attractive metallic luster and complex chemistry make it a favorite among mineral collectors. It is a sulfide mineral and is brittle.
