Fun Facts
Despite its name, the first amazonite was not actually found in the Amazon River region. It was initially thought to come from there due to some green stones found in the area, but the amazonite we know today is primarily sourced from other locations. The cause of its green color is still debated but is thought to involve small amounts of lead and water within the microcline structure. It's a popular mineral for collectors and is used in jewelry.
